Here are Areas Affected by Ciliwung River Overflow

Personnel have been alerted to assist residents

Heavy rains that showered the upstream area on Sunday (10/9) made the Ciliwung River overflow and the status I at 7:16 PM.

As a result, this condition makes several Jakarta areas inundated and flooded today, Monday (10/10).

No More Flood Survivors Refuge in Jakarta

Jakarta Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) Executing Unit Head, Isnawa Adji said, at 6 AM, inundation occurred in 53 neighborhoods or 0.174% out of 30,470 neighborhoods in Jakarta.

The data for the affected areas are as follows:

South Jakarta (20 neighborhoods):

Tanjung Barat Urban Village

- Total: 2 neighborhoods

- Height: 60 to 120 cm

- Cause: Ciliwung River Overflow

Pejaten Timur Urban Village

- Total: 5 neighborhoods

- Height: 60 to 300 cm

- Cause: Ciliwung River Overflow

Pengadegan Urban Village

- Total: 1 neighborhood

- Height: 140 cm

- Cause: Ciliwung River Overflow

Rawajati Urban Village

- Total: 3 neighborhoods

- Height: 70 to 120 cm

- Cause: Ciliwung River Overflow

Kebon Baru Urban Village

- Total: 2 neighborhoods

- Height: 70 cm

- Cause: Ciliwung River Overflow

Manggarai Urban Village

- Total: 7 neighborhoods

- Height: 40 cm

- Cause: Ciliwung River Overflow

East Jakarta (33 neighborhoods):

Balekambang Urban Village

- Total: 2 neighborhoods

- Height: 160 to 210 cm

- Cause: Ciliwung River Overflow

Cililitan Urban Village

- Total: 2 neighborhoods

- Height: 40 to 100 cm

- Cause: Ciliwung River Overflow

Cawang Urban Village

- Total: 4 neighborhoods

- Height: 80 to 200 cm

- Cause: Ciliwung River Overflow

Bidara Cina Urban Village

- Total: 12 neighborhoods

- Height: 40 to 180 cm

- Cause: Ciliwung River Overflow

Kampung Melayu Urban Village

- Total: 13 neighborhoods

- Height: 40 to 135 cm

- Cause: Ciliwung River Overflow

Then for data for refugees:

Cawang Urban Village

- 10 households, 30 people at Al Islah Musala and in front of Gg. Haji Maliki

"Personnel have been alerted to assist residents and monitor inundation conditions in each area, and coordinate with the Water Resources (SDA) Agency, Bina Marga Agency, as well as Fire and Rescue Agency (Gulkarmat) to suck up inundation together with local urban village and sub-district heads," he explained.

Aside that, his agency also coordinated with the Social Agency (Dinsos), AGD, Health Agency (Dinkes), and Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) for refugee management. The inundation is targeted to recede quickly.

"We call on the public to be careful and be aware of potential inundation. In an emergency, immediately call 112. This service is free and operates 24 hours non-stop," he stated.
